That could surprise those of you who automatically connect hearing loss with growing old or noise damage. Nearly 500,000 of the1.9 million people diagnosed with diabetes in 2010 were below the age of 44. Evidence reveals that 250,000 of those younger people with the disease likely suffer from some form on hearing loss.
